I loved the charming beachy decor, and my oceanfront balcony offered stunning views of La Jolla Cove and the playful sea lions. The staff were attentive and made me feel very welcome during my stay.
More accessible seating by the pool would be nice.

Caught a dining gem at Cove House, where the view over the waves made the grilled Teppanyaki fish taste like surfside magic! Also, the rooftop terrace brought those killer sunset vibes. Perfect for unwinding with a drink after a fun day exploring nearby eats like Taste of the Himalayas and Brockton Villa.
Plus, the walls had zero sound insulation. I swear I could hear my neighbor's Netflix binge over my own. And, uh, windows not closing properly made it a bit chilly at night.

great view but disappointing experience
The sea view from the suite was stunning and made for a relaxing morning. The staff were friendly and tried to assist with the shower issue promptly.
The lack of communication from the front desk was frustrating.

The stunning ocean view from my room was a highlight, and I enjoyed relaxing on the balcony listening to the sea lions. The convenient beach access made it easy to explore the area.

The room offered a lovely sea view, but that was the highlight. The shower faucet was inoperable, forcing me into an uncomfortable sponge bath. Uneven flooring posed a safety concern, and I encountered persistent issues reaching the front desk by phone. Overall, the amenities did not match the premium rate charged, leading to disappointment.

The ocean view from my room was stunning, providing a picturesque backdrop for my business trip. The staff was attentive and responsive, helping me set up my presentation quickly and efficiently. The location was ideal, with easy access to local dining options and the beach for a refreshing walk after meetings.
Some noise disturbances from nearby rooms at night.

missingWrote a review on 01 Septocean viewsrooftop terracebeach accessnoise levels
The ocean views from the rooftop terrace offer an impressive sight whether basking in sunset hues or sipping a drink. Easy access to La Jolla Cove ensures plenty of beach time and scenic walks among the local wildlife.
However, noise levels are a real issue with thin walls. I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms as well as echoes in the hallways. The stair-only access to rooms can be a hassle, especially when hauling luggage up and down. Expect some outdated areas in the hotel, as several parts could really use a facelift and more regular upkeep. Also, the miscellaneous odor wafting through the place can detract from the view, making you wish for a better room assignment.

Stunning, stunning, stunning.
The rooftop views are simply breathtaking, especially at sunset when the sky turns all shades of orange and pink over the ocean. I loved sipping on a unique lavender latte from the Parakeet Cafe while enjoying the sounds of sea lions nearby. Plus, the spacious oceanview suite I stayed in felt like my own little slice of paradise, complete with a large balcony perfect for people-watching.

Perfect for family getaways
The views from the balcony are just amazing you can literally see the ocean and beaches right in front of you the seals hanging out there is a sight to remember. Mike and Carissa at the front desk went above and beyond they changed our room to accommodate my family when we needed something more accessible which was a lifesaver for us.
